Our Community is Compassionate
Our community is blessed with many great organizations that want to help those in our community. One of the reasons I love our town so much is that while we have grown, we still have the spirit of a small town.
One example comes from this week. There was Holly Springs MLK Jr. Golf event on Monday which had support from many of our local businesses. A few donated food, such as Oasis Church, which we were not able to use up. So now over 100 lbs. of this food is being shared with the Food Cupboard so that others can have it.
Knowing how to connect people and organizations is an important function of a Mayor. I understand the importance of these connections and will work hard to make sure that they are done to keep our small town spirit strong.
While at the food cupboard, they share that there is a high need for cereal (12 oz boxes) and canned meat. Please visit their website to learn how you can help donate goods or money. https://hsfoodcupboard.org/
